Mr. Stein, a Serra graduate, Class of 1971, along with his brother Alan Stein and sister Roberta Stein Miller, established the scholarship in remembrance of his father and mother, the late Arnold and Jean Stein, who were active members of the Serra community when Dale attended Serra. The Stein family wished to gift one student who was a member of a parish in Duquesne, where Dale’s father worked for many years in the steel mill. Starr belongs to Christ, Light of the World Parish.
